Kasi Shelton

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Kasi, a graduate of The University of Oklahoma and native of the Norman and Oklahoma City Jewish Communities, brings a unique perspective to Oklahoma Hillels. After spending years as a sommelier and beverage director in NYC, Kasi returned to Oklahoma and began her career in the non-profit sector. She has a master’s degree in non-profit management, is a former educator at Temple B'nai Israel, and has served on the board at Hillel.

Kasi's passion is our students. Being their partner as they develop into tomorrow's leaders is the greatest gift she has ever been given. When not at Hillel, Kasi loves spending time with family and friends and traveling. She is proud to be a part of this organization, knowing the lifelong impact it has on students, alumni, and community.

Carly Fleck grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan, before attending Grand Valley State University (GVSU) in Grand Rapids, where she earned a degree in Communication Studies.

During her time at GVSU, Carly discovered Hillel and found a Jewish community that shaped her college experience. She quickly became involved, serving as Hillel’s Social Media Editor and Vice President, and later interned with the Jewish Federation of Grand Rapids as a Communications Specialist.

Carly’s involvement with Hillel inspired her to pursue a career in Jewish communal work. She spent two years as Houston Hillel’s Springboard Fellow before serving three years as Assistant Director, supporting Jewish student engagement and community building across multiple campuses. She recently graduated from Hebrew Union College with a Master’s in Jewish Nonprofit Management and now serves as Assistant Director of Oklahoma Hillels, bringing her passion and experience to students across the state.

Outside of work, Carly enjoys walking her two dogs, spending time with her fiancé, practicing photography, and exploring new restaurants.
