Incoming Students/Parents
WELCOME INCOMING STUDENTS!
We are thrilled to welcome you to Oklahoma Hillels! As you embark on this exciting new chapter, we want you to know that Hillel is more than just a spot for Shabbat; it’s your home-away-from-home. Here, you can enjoy a meal, hit the books, catch up with friends, make new connections, explore, or simply unwind.
Our doors are always open, and we’re here to create a space where you feel comfortable and valued. Whether you’re looking to deepen your knowledge, share your experiences, or just relax, Hillel is the place for you.
To get started, feel free to reach out to our friendly staff, follow us on social media, or send us a message. One of our amazing engagement interns or student leaders will be in touch to help you navigate everything Hillel has to offer and make sure you feel right at home. Welcome aboard— we can’t wait to get to know you!
WELCOME PARENTS!
Congratulations on having a university student in your family! We are thrilled to support your student on our campus, providing them with a welcoming and inclusive environment. Our Hillel staff regularly meets with students to discuss their needs and connect them with a variety of programs and groups.
We understand the challenges of being a parent of a college student. After years of preparation, you now trust in their choices and values. At Hillel, we strive to create a “home away from home” where students can find solace, grow, and embrace their unique Jewish identity.
Stay connected by signing up for our newsletter or following us on Facebook and Instagram. Your support is vital. Consider making a donation to help us continue offering enriching programs, care packages, free student lunches, and more.
Send Some TLC!
Want to let your student know you are thinking of them even from far away? Email engage@ouhillel.org or call us to have soup or other goodies delivered!
Weekly Events to Look Forward to!
TUESDAY SCHMOOZEDAY
This is an easy come-and-go event and a chance to meet other Hillel students. This is a favorite for most students because you get free coffee and it's on campus at the Bookmark from 11-1.
SHABBAT
Whether we are hosting Shabbat at the FBC Family Life Center, having a potluck Shabbat, or joining one of the synagogues in OKC, there will always be an option for students to look forward to at the end of each week. We also like to partner with our other 4 campuses and host a larger scale Shabbat service in OKC!
